Whittier sits at roughly 33.98° N, 118.03° W, tucked against the Puente Hills on the eastern side of Los Angeles County. Pico Rivera and Santa Fe Springs border it to the west and south, La Mirada and La Habra Heights to the east, Hacienda Heights to the north. Inside those lines are eleven ZIP codes, and we dispatch independent locksmiths to all of them.
The six neighborhood ZIP codes
Each has its own page because the calls really are different:
- 90601: north Whittier toward Rose Hills and the foothills. Hillside homes, back-door lockouts and deadbolt upgrades.
- 90602: Uptown, Greenleaf Avenue, Philadelphia Street and the offices around PIH Health Whittier Hospital. Storefronts and small offices.
- 90603: east Whittier near Whittwood Town Center. New owners rekeying after a move.
- 90604: southeast toward La Mirada. Car keys, chips and fobs.
- 90605: south Whittier around Painter Avenue and Lambert Road. Repairs on worn, older hardware.
- 90606: West Whittier–Los Nietos, home of our listed dispatch location. Late-night calls.
90607: mailbox and garage locks
Small locks, real consequences. An unlocked mailbox invites mail theft; a flimsy garage side door is a favorite way in. Mailbox lock replacement, garage handle locks, gate and shed locks, padlock removal. Cluster mailboxes run by the post office are a separate case: check with them first. Bring ID and something showing the address.
90608: landlords and rental turnovers
Between tenants, rekey. It is cheaper than replacing hardware and it closes the question of who kept a copy. Landlords with several units often move to a master key system so they carry one key while each tenant's key opens only their own door. Schedule turnover work with your move-out date.
90609: safes and file cabinets
Forgotten combinations, dead keypad batteries, a key lost years ago. File cabinets and desks can usually be opened and rekeyed. Safes vary. Be aware that the price list is frank about it: unlocking a safe by force damages it and the safe won't be usable afterward. Ask about non-destructive options first, and expect to prove ownership.
90610: master key systems for organizations
Churches, clubs, schools, small clinics: places where many people need some keys and a few people need all of them. A master key system plans that on paper first, then rekeys each cylinder to fit. Pair it with a key log and you always know who holds what.
90612: seniors and easier-to-use locks
Round knobs are hard work for arthritic hands. Lever handles, larger key heads, keypad deadbolts that never need a key at all. Small changes, big difference. The senior citizen coupon takes 15% off any locksmith service with a senior ID.
How dispatch works, whatever the ZIP
Call 562-340-4635 and describe the job. You get an approximate estimate on the phone. An independent locksmith confirms the price at the door before starting, and you pay them directly: the $29 service call fee plus labor and any hardware. Full details on the price list.
